Check it out cuz the challenge is to color pumpkins and what could be better then this Halloween Kitty? All the dt members did an awesome job as usuall and the images were just so darn cute. The Copics I used on my pumpkin were Y02, Y04, Y07, and E13. At the Copic certification class I took we colored a pumpkin and did a techn called "feathering" with the tip of the marker. My dp is from BG called Eerie and the bat border was made with an EK punch. The little bauble was from K&Co. in a package that matched a dp pad by Carolyn Gavin. tfl!

A Wedding Card...for a "special" bride...:)

Today is a gloomy day here in Hinckley Ohio and I have been quite under the weather. I did get to my doc yesterday and got some meds to help me out. I am really looking forward to Thurs morn as I am planning on leaving for Chicago with my 2 daughters to see my brother's only daughter get married this weekend. Hoping I will feel better by then I thought I could get her card done this morn. Kelley at ODBD gave me some gorgeous new Prima paper to try out and I knew this set from her store called "Love" would be my sentiment. The "tie the knot" dp is from Archivers and it is called "Reminisce". I sewed a vine border stitch on the edges and made a bow from ribbon at my lcc. The rest is ms punches and Opaline pearls from BG also available at the ODBD store site. It will sure be nice to see alot of people in Chicago that I have not seen in years and see the city with my 2 dds'!! Also, it will be my first time there and I WILL have camera in hand! :) TFL!

Friendship..in the Fall..by Our Daily Bread and Basic Grey challenge = Embossing

I love Fall. It is my FAVORITE season. The colors are just the best! This verse from the Friendship set at ODBD and this gorgeous new dp from BG (avail also at the ODBD store ) came together and fit like a glove. Most people know I gotta "thing" for BG dp and it just never ends! :) This dp is called "Indian Summer". I decided to also make this a challenge card over at the Basic Grey challenge Blog. I put this together pretty easily and embossed the panel under the thank-you verse with a cb folder. I used my MS punch and the felt leaf was a stick -on embellie from Little Yellow Bicycle. I gotta be honest and tell you that I dont know that I would purchase the felt thingies again..as cute as they are...they are also a PAIN to put on! :( TFL!

New Copic Creations Blog Challenge..Using Copics and Colored pencils

Here is my card for the new COPIC CREATIONS challenge! This is sooo cool and if you have NOT tried it yet...now is the time! On MY card I went back with a WHITE Prism pencil and colored in spots that I thought needed to be lightened. How cool that you can do this with these pencils on Copics AFTER you color your image! Check out this cool tutorial over at Marianne Walker's site for more info! Dont forget to look at ALL the marvelous creations from the dt over at the blog too! I used MANY Copics and hope I listed them all here. This is a super great way to do more with your Copic markers if you dont have too many yet! I am wishing for more! BTW..Our sponsor this mid month is Janlynn and this adorable fairy is called "Lavender Flower fairy". She is among MANY gorgeous fairies over at Janlynn!

Copics used..Y21, E31 hair-flowers..V12,Y11 and Y21-wings...V12, BV00 and BV02 same for skirt..blouse- B00 and B02....grass is BG93 and I think G00, G02...butterflies add a little RV06.

I added the white pencil on the wings and bottom of the skirt. Oh, and the little bow flower was a RAK from Chris over at Twinkles Glow with Stamps. TFL! Again..this is a great way to stretch the use of your Copics. :)

"Santa's Reindeer" ..and a twist..a "Tara Reed" design

This is a card I made using a stamp from "Janlynn" called "Santa's Reindeer"

Even tho you can make a million cute Christmas cards with this guy I decided he looked like he could be missing someone too... I have been blessed to have my 4 children home with me every Christmas but one. My oldest (30 next month) lives in North Carolina and one year he decided he should work instead. That was one of the worst holidays I ever had. We thought it would be okay, ..he needed the money...WRONG..On Christmas day we KNEW we had figured wrong. We missed him so much and things were just not the same. Since then we have been together every Christmas. Now I know this wont always be..but for now I will appreciate it! My heart just breaks for our Military men away from their families at Christmas and I dont know how they do it. God Bless them ALL and their families. On to the card recipe! DP is Memory Box, "Dewfrost". I used a couple MS punches and colored with Copics! TFL! Check out all the new and CUTE stamps over at Janlynn! You wont be disapointed!
