Just a couple "Westerns"

That is Western cards for a friend and the Catered Crop challenge. :) This is "Handsome Hank" from Starving Artists stamps- The sentiment is computer generated. I used memento tuxedo black ink and colored him with copics.  Over at the challenge blog "Catered crop" you can use any of the ingredients or techniques listed to make your card or project. The dp is old and I am working on trying to use up my dp! :)  My friend is a big time horse lover so these cards are per her request!
Below is a simple card using a stamp set that I picked up long time ago- I think Inkadinkado= horses.
Dp is BG cappella.
thanks for looking- :)

Christmas Past

Counting down the days as I am sure most of you are! :)  Hope to finish my gift shopping on Monday.  Meantime, we are feeling a little sentimental these days at my house.  My fil who is the BEST DAD in the world was told he wont have too much time left with us here.  That being said, we are cherishing every moment we have left with him since we love him so very much.  My oldest son wont be home for Christmas either- he hopes to make it home next month.  Here is a card I made for my son with a picture of my in-laws on one of their first Christmas'... and my mil is pregnant here too!  The jury is still out on just which boy (there are 3) she is pregnant with but we love this pic just the same.  I used some red cord cardstock and some red print scraps along with a strip from MME snowflake dp and some Graphic 45 punch outs.  I LOVE vintage and they were certainly a lovely couple...dont you think?  TFL!

Shirley's 2 Girls Home for the Holidays.....

Over at the challenge blog for Shirley's 2 Girls the challenge is to use "flocking" on your card.  I got this cute digi called "Greetings" and ofcourse I colored it with copics.  I cant help but think of my oldest who wont be home for holidays  this year and feel sad.  Nothing like being home for Christmas and celebrating with family.  Such is life!  I used some Christmas flower soft on the 2 little trees here and the little string of lights are from a garage sale I stopped at over the summer..... I guess they must have some how "shrunk" so the sellers had to put them in their garage sale.....  :)... Dp is Cosmo Cricket circa 1934.  So if you are still making Christmas cards LIKE ME...make one with some flocking and join the challenge with us to win a sweet prize from "the girls"...   TFL!

Some fun!

Face it!
Blissful ATC swap
Stampsmith RAK:
Having had some minor "hand surgery" I havent stamped much- :(  Hope to change that!  It is a good time to show a couple of "fun" images I have and a rak I recieved.  This first card I made for a friend's birthday and I just LOVE the image called "Face it!" by the Stampsmith.  I used paper from an old BG pad and a time card someone sent me a while back.  I sewed the zig zag on my machine.  Arnt the faces hilarious? Next is an ATC I made for a swap using a stamp from a show I bought a long time ago, some rubbernecker inches and a few scraps I got in the mail .  Then last is a GORGEOUS rak from a Stampsmith fan using the image "Butterfly kiss" also available at the Stampsmith.  Sorry to say that the pic does not show really how absolutely beautiful this card is.  Thanks for looking- off to the "other job" now!  :)

Copic Creations challenge by Tickled Pink stamps

Can someone please tell me where the time goes?  It IS Nov 15th already- :) This is "60s Willow" from Tickled Pink stamps and Kellie Winnell.  The new challenge over at Copic Creations blog is to shade on "paper pieced" images with your copics.  I absolutely HAD to pick this girl and those that know me KNOW why!  Her shirt, pant flowers and hair flowers are paper pieced and shaded with the "Cs"- 1, 2, 3, and 5.  The "peace" sentiment is from a little stamp store in New Mexico on the square in Santa Fe....................
miss visiting that place!  I was cracking up while paper piecing the bell bottoms...my girlfriends and I used to embroider on ours and then after my daughters were born I ALSO embroidered on their jeans! Those were the days!!  Go visit the blog to see the other great creations by the rest of our dt members and thanks for looking!

"Count your Blessings"

Time for week no. 2 of Shirley's 2 Girls "month of THANKS".  Here is my card using the image "Pilgrims" !  Count your Blessings!  I try to remember to count mine .  :)  Especially right now...my 94 yr old FIL is in the Cleveland Clinic waiting to hear if he will qualify for a type of heart surgery.  People say...94?...He is a YOUNG 94 and we LOVE him to pieces!  Right now I am thankful for HIM!  Dp is this gorgeous pad I am crazy about and dont use enough, K&Co. Tim Coffey Tuscan Sunflowers.  I colored my Pilgrims with Copics and popped it up.  The twist over at the challenge blog is to use a pumpkin on your card.   Check out what the other girls did and enjoy the view!  There is always some good "candy" available when you join us for the challenge!

Back with the GIRLS! S2G!

Happy Thursday and I am posting for the Shirley's 2 Girls dt again!  What a great time to get back to these ADORABLE images!  With Fall in full swing and Thanksgiving JUST A FEW WEEKS AWAY, S2G and the dt wanted to do a little more then just share our weekly inspiration projects.  So, this week we are giving thanks to all of the blog participants and visitors.  Soooooo...START the Thanksgiving hop. You travel to each DT's blog to view her project for this week's challenge- (there will be a bonus here cuz the girls are sharing tips, tricks and tutorials along the way) :)  and there is a grand prize  (of course) and HIDDEN candy along the way! Just leave a comment on your way telling us WHAT you are thankful for!
Here is my card with the image "note of thanks".  I used BG jovial dp and colored  it with Copics , cut it out and popped it up. I am always in need of "thank yous" after the holidays and this will be one!   The leaves are from a Prima Calypso tin- Christmas flowers and leaves. My favorite "tip" to share is one I learned from a Copic dt sister-  when u cut out your image after coloring - take a black marker (NOT a copic) and go around the image to cover any flaws in your cutting!  This makes such a dramatic difference!  Love it! NOW...WANT to join us ??  Make a project using the word "thanks"! Link to the S2G blog and dont forget to start hopping!  If you came here via GINA you are in the right place!  Next stop is JUDY!  Feeling lost? Start at the blog for the full list!  Hey- dont forget to TELL ME WHAT YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR! TFL!

Hi there- Copic Creations has an awesome sponsor for our new challenge !  Zoe from Make it Crafty!  The challenge is to use "browns" and second, if you wish, is to make a scene!  This was my first time to use an image from Make it Crafty and it was really fun!  I chose "open window" for my birthday card. This image was colored then cut out and put on BG dp. The sentiment was computer generated.  I used E53 -55-57 and 59 for my wood tones and if you would like to see more beautiful "browns" then check out what the fab dt did over at the Copic Creations blog! The prize donated by the awesome Zoe is some gorgeous brown Copic markers and images from her store!  Good Luck!  Happy November!

For kids at Halloween

While looking for some cute images to make for my GREAT niece and nephew, I was blog reading and came to Curt's world.  If you havent checked out his blog, you should. :)  He has the coolest pics and adorable cards.  He found this cheap set of images at Michaels and even used his coupon to pick these cuties up!  (I did the same)  I kinda cased his idea . This  set comes with 4 adorable kid friendly monsters. It is "my little monsters" by Recollections.  I colored mine with copics and then popped up these board frames I got in another isle at Michaels.  I threw away the packaging on the frames but they come in several sizes in a large pack- cheap!  DP is BG and MS.  I plan on putting McDonalds gift certs inside to mail to the kids.  TFL-

Fabulous Faces from the STAMPSMITH

I really LOVE these images over at the STAMPSMITH.  This is from the "Fabulous Faces" sheet of rubber and I believe it is Marlene Dietrich.  The STAMPSMITH has a new challenge blog and I made this card for their second challenge.  Use black, white and one color.  Dp is Graphic 45 and I used my book nestie along with an embossing nestie, ms border punch (never get bored with using) and some sheer ribbon .  The charm is from some vintage charm card at JoAnns.  Corner has spots of stickles.
Thanks for looking!  :)  By the way,  I am having some major issues with internet explorer and going on to certain blogs.  For some reason it isnt letting me .  So, I apologize for not commenting on everyones blogs, but I have tried and I am hoping to get this figured out soon!  :)
