Use a Stencil! and Just be U !

Hello!  I am  happy to be hosting this weeks' challenge at the Stampotique Dt challenge blog!  I have an incredible love for stencils like a lot of creative bloggers do these days!  I also think the images from Stampotique look awesome stamped over a stenciled back ground.  So, for this weeks' challenge I am asking you to pull out one of your favorite stencils and use it on your creation with a Stampotique image.  Remember- everyone gets a chance to win a 30. dollar gift to the Stampotique store . :)   Images here used: "smile" , "just be U" and "swirl stalks"  Stencil from Blue Moon scrapbooking online store along with a generic squares stencil and a generic dotted stencil from my lcs.
I can not wait to see what you create!  TFL

Art journal sharing..

I knew from the first minute I met "cousin Carmie" I needed to use  Lol  Especially in my art journaling!

So, tell me..have YOU ever felt this way??
Carmie is standing on one of Roc Nicholas' "scalloped lace border"
Background is credit card painted, stenciled and inked.  Sentiment is computer generated.

Happy Spring 2013!

Spring!  It's the new challenge at the Stampotique dt challenge blog.  I think it is coming to my neighborhood...but hopefully sooner then later!
I used "pretty Zara"  #7315 on some water color paper.  I just sprayed the wc paper with water and put down some color with a brush. Love the way the paint travels.  I also used "swirl stalks" stamped on the bottom.  Thanks for looking and I hope Spring is headed your way too!

gelli scraps and some challenges

Cant part with those little "gelli scraps"???  :)  Me neither!  Made a few cards for a friend who did me a huge favor..starting with this circle of hearts:
I punched some hearts of gelli and dp..little bits were pearls, gems and some button thingys from CHA .
Another card made with some new release images at Stampotique ala "France Papillon"..
Thinking a bit like SPRING here..using "banner" and "home sweet home".  They were stamped on cs and paper pieced.  Almost forgot the leaves are "funky dotted and funky striped leaves" = (my current addition stamps!)  along with "happy  happy".
I would be willing to bet that the "banner" will almost become a main stay for your art/craft room!
CHALLENGES I am in for:  One Crazy Stamper= anything goes for March , Papertake Weekly= anything goes, and the Crafting for all Seasons blog= Spring into Spring!
Thanks for looking!

Today Stampotique is excited to partner up with Southern Girls Challenge in sponsoring the current "Tag You're It" Challenge.

You can read more about the challenge here and join us for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate for stamps.
Yeppers...still having a blast with the new release..I am making tags like a mad woman!
Here I used ONE of the birdies from the Kira Nichols "birdie up".
The back ground was Dylusions  sprays and salt then some printers ink that I blew with a can of air. Love that technique.  I then stamped some leaves on the tree (funky striped leaves and funky dotted)
The leaves are outlined with my white uniball pen.
TFL !!

"people are strange"...Jim Morrison inspiration

SDC90: Song Inspiration

Sam is our hostess this week and here is what she has challenged the team (and you) with:

I have often been inspired by songs to create something, it could be the song title, the message behind the song or just a line of the song that resonates with me. So I'm excited to be inviting you to create anything that makes you smile using a song for your inspiration. There is no right there is no wrong it's just the way you sing your song!
So happy to have my new stamps from the release at Stampotique!   I used "ghostie" on a tag while all I could think of was the song by Jim Morrison called "people are strange" lol  Hope you are old enough to remember it!

Background is paper from one of my gelli prints!  Covered the tag with it and sewed on some netting under "ghostie".  The sentiment is also from the new release : .."sometimes I pretend"
Gotta love it! TFL  and hope you can join us for the challenge since there is candy to be won!   Have you been over to check out the new images yet?  They are awesome!

Here is "bacon and ham"    on a tag no less!  Arnt they hilarious?

Below is "upward bound", another "Zara" bunny from artist Maria..

A  NEW artist and awesome designer is  France Papillion..this is ONE of her several  new images called "home sweet home".. loved stitching this one.
I also used the classic image "smile" from Daniel Torrente on the tag.

Then finally below is from a fun journal page in my mini book  using a NEW image by Roc Nicholas called "bird princess".
Are there any images by Roc we dont like?  he he he!  duh!!   I also used this awesome image called "spider grass" from Jo Capper Sandon and I can think you can add this to many creations :)
